The Illusion of Success: How Society Keeps You Chasing but Never Fulfilled

In a world filled with external stimuli, where the daily grind constantly pushes us forward, many of us live in a state of sleep. It's not a physical sleep, but a spiritual and mental slumber, where most people don’t consciously realize who they truly are and why they’re here. While we're encouraged to follow a certain pattern – work harder, consume more, achieve more – the true essence of our being remains dormant.

Modern society has been built on the foundations of this sleep. If you stop and think, you'll notice how economic, political, and social systems are designed to keep this state of unconsciousness intact. People are encouraged to be satisfied with material possessions, job promotions, or financial incentives, as if these define who they truly are. It's like a game where those who are asleep are, in fact, the ones supporting everything, but without realizing it.

For example, the massive consumption of products we don’t really need, but which are marketed as essential for our happiness. Advertising, the fashion industry, technology, or even the food industry are all geared toward making us believe that what we have or consume defines who we are. We become indebted and lose time with things that, on deeper reflection, don’t bring us any spiritual fulfillment.

Another example is the constant competition for professional success. Many people feel pressured to advance in their careers, achieve a higher status, or earn more money, believing this is the path to fulfillment. But what we often forget is that success is not the same as true happiness. Behind this race, there is a sleep of self, a loss of the real meaning of life. The true purpose of our lives is not to accumulate wealth or achieve higher social status, but to discover who we really are, to live in alignment with our inner truth, and to contribute to the greater good.

I, too, was once one of the asleep. I sought confirmation in business, in jobs, in superficial relationships, and in material objects, thinking these would complete me. It wasn’t until I began to seek a deeper meaning in life and turn toward spirituality that I truly understood that sleep is what makes us vulnerable and easy to manipulate. When you wake up from this collective slumber, you realize that true freedom comes from self-awareness and living an authentic life, aligned with your spiritual essence.

Society encourages us to remain asleep because it allows them to profit from our work and energy. If we all were awakened to our true selves, if we understood that our real value doesn’t come from what we own or what we achieve externally, but from who we truly are and our spiritual purpose, we would all become much stronger, freer, and more aware of our inner power.

So, the call is clear: Wake up! Start asking yourself who you really are and what you want to do with your life. Seeking answers in the external world will always leave you unsatisfied. Seeking them inside will uncover truths that will completely transform your perception of the world and yourself. By sharing this journey with other awakened souls, we can create a profound shift in society – one based on awareness, love, and truth.
